Anthropic reinstates OpenClaw and third-party agent usage on Claude subscriptions — with a catch

Anthropic has reopened Claude subscription access for third-party AI agents like OpenClaw.

Paid users can now use external agents through a separate monthly pool of Agent SDK credits.

The credits do not roll over, are billed at API rates, and must be topped up after they run out.

The policy reverses Anthropic’s April 2026 ban, while shifting heavy usage costs onto users.
