Trump Mobile says its delayed T1 smartphone should start shipping to preorder customers this week.

The phone was promised for an earlier launch, but the company later said the $100 deposit did not guarantee delivery.

Its manufacturing pitch also shifted from “made in America” to “American-proud design,” then to partial U.S. assembly and U.S.-based component production.

The rollout will test whether Trump Mobile can turn a heavily marketed preorder campaign into actual deliveries.
