Magic: The Gathering's New Marvel Set Is Breaking Records

Wizards of the Coast says Magic: The Gathering’s upcoming Marvel Super Heroes crossover will top 600 mechanically unique cards, setting a new record for the game.

The release will span the main set, four Commander decks, and other side products, with prereleases on June 19 and full launch on June 26.

The set adds showcase treatments, comic-inspired art, and new mechanics like Power-Up, Teamwork, and Plans, plus returning Hero and Connive support.

The scale makes it Magic’s largest expansion to date and underscores the strength of branded crossover demand.
