Google Confirms High-Risk Update For 3.5 Billion Chrome Users

Google released a Chrome security update that addresses eight high-severity vulnerabilities for about 3.5 billion users.

New Chrome versions were published for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android and the rollout will be automatic but may take days or weeks.

Users can force the update by opening Help → About Google Chrome and relaunching the browser to apply the patch.

A separate report disclosed and confirmed a patched 0-click prompt injection vulnerability in Anthropic's Claude extension (ShadowPrompt).
