Jeff Bezos rep leaves Slate Auto’s board

Melinda Lewison, who heads investments at Bezos Expeditions, has stepped down from Slate Auto’s board.

The move leaves Jeff Bezos without direct board representation at the EV startup, according to state filings.

Slate Auto is still preparing to start production of its low-cost electric truck later this year.

The board change could signal Bezos is less directly involved just as the company seeks major funding and ramps up.
