Intel’s Budget Wildcat Lake Chip Beats Apple’s MacBook Neo by 27% in Multi-Core, Matches A18 Pro Single-Thread Performance

Intel’s budget-focused Core 5 320 Wildcat Lake chip posted strong early PassMark results.

It scored 4,047 in single-core and 15,222 in multi-core, roughly matching Apple’s A18 Pro in single-thread and leading by about 27% in multi-core.

Its 2-core Xe3 integrated graphics also outperformed expectations for an entry-level laptop chip.

The results suggest Intel could have a competitive low-cost platform, with pricing and OEM design choices likely to decide the budget market.
