PSA: A security breach means you must update the ChatGPT Mac app

OpenAI says a supply-chain security incident hit two employee devices and exposed limited internal credential material.

Because affected code could sign OpenAI products, the company revoked certificates and is requiring a ChatGPT Mac app update by June 12.

The forced update only affects Mac users; iOS and Windows apps are not impacted.

OpenAI says no user data or core systems were compromised.
