Why Samsung is Making a “Wide” Galaxy Z Fold 8 Instead of an “Ultra”

Samsung is rumored to launch a Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide in late July 2026.

The device may feature a wider 7.6-inch inner display, a smaller 5.4-inch cover screen, and a 4:3 aspect ratio.

It is expected to use Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, dual 50MP rear cameras, IP48 protection, and One UI 9.0 on Android 17.

Reports say it could be priced below the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8, making it a more accessible foldable option.
