Crypto platform Drift suffers hack suspected to total $270 million — firm suspends deposits and withdrawals

Drift Protocol said it is under an active cyberattack and has suspended deposits and withdrawals.

The company said it is coordinating with security firms, bridges, and exchanges to contain the incident.

Estimates of stolen funds vary, with CertiK reporting about $136 million and Lookonchain reporting about $270 million.

Drift posted the suspension notice on its X account on April 1, 2026, and had not confirmed a total loss at time of reporting.
