Spotify seeks $300M from Anna's Archive, which ignores all court proceedings

Spotify and major labels sued Anna’s Archive in the Southern District of New York and the defendant was declared in default for not responding.

The plaintiffs asked for a $322 million default judgment, including $300 million in DMCA damages and $22.2 million for copyright infringement.

They also seek a permanent injunction to disable Anna’s Archive domains and hosting access after the site posted torrents for millions of music files.

Anna’s Archive removed some Spotify torrents and said it temporarily embargoed releases, but prior domain takedowns were circumvented with mirrors and alternate providers.
