iOS 27 could fix a huge frustration with the Shortcuts app and I can’t wait for it

Apple is reportedly testing a major AI overhaul for the Shortcuts app in iOS 27.

Users could describe an automation in plain language, and Apple’s system would build and install it automatically.

The change would replace much of the app’s manual setup with natural-language AI automation.

If launched, it could make Shortcuts far easier for everyday iPhone users and broaden adoption of automations.
