Asus ROG and Xreal just built the AR glasses gamers have been waiting for, at a price that stings

Asus ROG and Xreal launched the ROG Xreal R1, a premium AR gaming glasses model priced at $849.

The glasses are the first 240Hz gaming AR display, using dual micro-OLED panels to project a 171-inch virtual screen.

They include built-in audio and work with PCs, consoles, and smartphones via USB-C.

Preorders are open now through Best Buy, with shipping set to begin on June 1, 2026.
