Introducing Sonnet 4.6

Anthropic has launched Claude Sonnet 4.6, its most capable Sonnet model to date.

The model improves coding, long-context reasoning, agent planning, knowledge work, design, and computer use.

It includes a beta 1M-token context window and is now the default on free and Pro tiers in claude.ai and Claude Cowork.

Pricing stays the same as Sonnet 4.5, while early users reportedly prefer it over Sonnet 4.5 and often even Opus 4.5.

Safety testing found no major new issues, and the model is better at resisting prompt injection.
