Tesla recalls 14,500 Model Y vehicles over sticker defects

Tesla is recalling 14,575 U.S. Model Y SUVs that may be missing the required driver-side maximum payload label.

NHTSA says the missing sticker could lead to improper loading and increase crash risk.

Tesla will inspect affected vehicles and add the label after a Fremont plant image-scanning tool was found to be unstable.

The recall points to a broader quality-control lapse affecting thousands of vehicles.
