NTT-made LLM "tsuzumi 2" can "understand" charts and tables, covering all kinds of business documents

NTT has added a new Vision model to its lightweight Japanese LLM, tsuzumi 2, enabling it to understand charts, tables, and other visual elements in documents.

The upgraded model can handle slides, charts, estimates, withholding slips, questionnaires, and other business forms more broadly.

This expands automation for searching, analyzing, and cross-checking internal documents that previously required manual review.

The capability is expected to improve operational efficiency and broaden adoption across companies, financial institutions, medical organizations, and local governments.
