Google launched “Code the Countdown,” a creative challenge tied to I/O 2026.

Participants must build a project featuring a large number 1–10 using Gemini Canvas or AI Studio.

Entrants submit a share link by May 6 for a chance to be featured in the May 19 I/O 2026 livestream.

The campaign turns the keynote countdown into a public participation event and spotlights Google’s AI tools for creative coding.
