The Galaxy S25 Ultra is getting improved underwater camera abilities in One UI 8.5

Ocean Mode uses algorithms to correct color distortions and ripples when filming underwater.

It was originally developed as an internal tool for coral reef restoration projects.

The mode was first deployed only on certain Galaxy S24 Ultra phones.

Ocean Mode has also been spotted on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Galaxy S25 Ultra beta builds of One UI 8.5 now show Ocean Mode, and Expert RAW only shows it on version 5.0.08.2.
