Super-Speed AI Helps Astronomers Find Cosmic Trove Of New Exoplanets

Astronomers led by Joshua Roth at Princeton used AI and machine learning to analyze TESS data.

The team identified more than 10,000 exoplanet candidates, including many hot Jupiters, over 100 Neptune-size worlds, and a few possible super-Earths.

The work shows that AI can greatly accelerate planet hunting from light-curve data and improve future TESS searches for potentially habitable worlds.
