YouTube Will Automatically Detect And Label AI-Generated Videos

YouTube will automatically detect videos with significant photorealistic AI use and add an AI label if creators do not disclose it.

The label will be more visible below videos and on Shorts, making AI-altered or AI-generated content easier to spot.

Labels will stay permanent for content made with Google AI tools or marked with C2PA watermarks.

The change is meant to improve transparency and encourage creators to disclose AI use accurately.
