Intel refreshes non-Ultra Core CPUs with new silicon for the first time

Intel introduced Wildcat Lake for non-Ultra Core Series 3 laptops, built on new silicon rather than reused designs.

The chips use a simpler two-tile layout with up to two P-cores and four E-cores, plus Xe3 graphics and an optional NPU.

Modern connectivity is included, with Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0 support.

It’s the first meaningful refresh of Intel’s mainstream Core laptop lineup, narrowing the gap with Core Ultra.
