Anthropic accidentally publishes Claude Code source code for anyone to find

Anthropic accidentally published large parts of Claude Code’s source on NPM, exposing over 500,000 lines and 1,000 files.

The published package included internal files that referenced how the tool works and unreleased models and features.

Anthropic said the leak was due to human error, no customer data was affected, and it is implementing measures to prevent repeats.
