Apple is adding a new App Store subscription option that bills monthly while requiring a 12-month commitment.

The model aims to make annual pricing feel more affordable, while still locking users into a year-long subscription.

Developers will get payment tracking and renewal alerts through App Store Connect and related tools.

The feature is set to roll out next month with iOS 26.4-era updates, but the U.S. and Singapore are excluded for now.
