Saturday Hoy No Circula: Which cars can drive and which must stay off the road on May 23

The Saturday Hoy No Circula rule for May 23, 2026 will be in effect from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. in Mexico City and several State of Mexico municipalities.

Cars with hologram 1 and even-numbered plates must stay off the road; vehicles with hologram 0 and 00 may circulate, while hologram 2 cars cannot drive on Saturdays.

The measure applies across the Valley of Mexico metropolitan area and is intended to reduce pollution.

Noncompliance can result in fines based on the UMA.
