Saturday Hoy No Circula: Which cars can drive and which must stay off the road on May 9

The Saturday Hoy No Circula scheme is back in force for May 9, 2026, in Mexico City and the surrounding metropolitan area.

In an odd-numbered week, cars with hologram 1 and odd-numbered plates are restricted; hologram 2 vehicles are also barred every Saturday.

Vehicles with hologram 0 and 00 may circulate, along with certain exempt vehicles under the rules.

Drivers who ignore the restriction face fines and possible vehicle impoundment.
