This Is Earth Shot on the iPhone 17 Pro Max — Taken by the Artemis II Crew, NASA Releases Photo

On April 2, NASA published three Earth photos taken by the Artemis II Orion crew using an iPhone 17 Pro Max on its official site, with EXIF data.

The three images were taken with the front camera and appear to be selfies showing Earth and crew through Orion's window.

Artemis II is a crewed lunar flyby mission carrying four astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft.

Orion launched on the 1st and is expected to approach to about 6,550 km from the lunar surface on the morning of the 7th (Japan time) before returning to Earth.

NASA also released multiple Earth photos shot with a Nikon D5 and posted a comparison to 1972 Apollo 17 images on its official X account.
