Dutch university disconnects Canvas systems after Instructure hack

Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam disconnected systems linked to Canvas after a reported breach at Instructure.

ShinyHunters claimed access to multiple Dutch university environments; seven universities were affected.

The incident was reported to regulators, and some personal data of students and staff was confirmed compromised.

Instructure said it has patched affected systems and stepped up monitoring.
