iPhone Fold Expected to Launch on Time in September Despite Delay Rumors

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports Apple expects the iPhone Fold to launch around the usual September iPhone timeframe.

Gurman disputed a Nikkei report that said engineering delays could push the Fold's launch into 2027.

Mass production has not started and the device remains in engineering verification, though trial production reports have appeared.

The Fold is reported to have a ~5.5-inch folded display, ~7.8-inch open display, about 4.5mm thickness, and a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Analyst Ming‑Chi Kuo warned that the complex display could limit initial supply, potentially causing shortages.
