OpenAI debuts GPT 5.5, Nvidia gave early access to 10,000 employees through Codex

Nvidia has rolled out OpenAI’s GPT-5.5 to more than 10,000 employees through Codex across multiple departments.

The system runs on GB200 NVL72 infrastructure and is being used for coding, debugging, and broader knowledge work.

Nvidia says the deployment is speeding feature delivery, improving productivity, and lowering inference costs.

The move highlights how frontier AI models are being adopted at enterprise scale for both software development and business workflows.
