New Marathon update takes a leaf out of Arc Raiders' book and encourages you to play nice

Bungie released a mid-season Marathon patch that adds CARRI, a system designed to reward cooperation between players.

The update also brings new social tools, proximity chat, a revive item called Mercy Kit, and solo-focused adjustments.

Balance changes were included as well, aiming to make encounters less purely shoot-on-sight.

The patch is meant to reshape Marathon’s extraction-shooter loop by encouraging cooperation and improving player retention.
