Microsoft and OpenAI's famed AGI agreement is dead

Microsoft and OpenAI revised their partnership, removing AGI-triggered provisions from the deal.

OpenAI can now sell products on any cloud, while Azure remains its primary cloud.

Microsoft’s model license will be non-exclusive through 2032, giving OpenAI more flexibility with other partners.

Revenue-sharing payments are capped through 2030, regardless of any future AGI progress.
