American Airlines to equip more than 500 passenger jets with Starlink, enabling gigabit-speed in-flight Wi-Fi

American Airlines will equip more than 500 Airbus narrow-body jets with Starlink antennas to deliver faster in-flight internet.

The rollout will begin in Q1 2027 and will cover domestic and short-haul international routes, including the A321XLR.

The move expands Starlink adoption among major airlines and is expected to improve speed, latency, and reliability onboard.
