Greg Brockman testified that Elon Musk pushed for dominant control of OpenAI during 2017 talks and rejected a shared-governance proposal.

Brockman said Musk threatened to pull funding unless he got control, underscoring a major dispute over OpenAI’s early structure.

He also described Musk later dismissing early chatbot progress, which OpenAI says supports its case that he should not run the company.

The testimony puts OpenAI’s founding governance and funding fights back at the center of the Musk v. Altman trial.
