Spotify is rolling out a light green “Verified by Spotify” badge for artist profiles to signal authentic human artists.

The verification uses automated checks plus human review, looking at signals like engagement history, live dates, merchandise, and linked social accounts.

Spotify is also testing richer artist info and more profile controls as the rollout begins over the coming weeks.

The move responds to rising concern about AI-only music and impersonation on streaming platforms, giving listeners clearer authenticity cues.
