Vaccination procedures to be digitized; official page launched ahead of June start, allowing pre-exam forms to be filled out on smartphones for more efficient management

Japan’s health ministry opened an official page for the June rollout of digital vaccination procedures.

Under the revised Immunization Law, eligibility checks, pre-screening forms, and billing will move online in stages nationwide.

The system is expected to reduce paperwork for residents, medical providers, and local governments.

MyNaPortal and My Number cards will be used to support smoother vaccination record management and coordination.
