tvOS 26.4 fixes an annoying audio issue on Apple TV 4K

TvOS 26.4 is available to install tvOS 26.4 is available for Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD via Settings → System → Software Updates.

Audio playback had glitches during transitions between different formats, apple's release notes state the update fixes audio playback issues when sound transitions between formats such as Dolby Atmos and stereo.

Genius Browse is included in tvOS 26.4 the update adds a 'Genius Browse' tool in the Apple TV app.

Continuous Audio Connection is available as an optional setting tvOS 26.4 introduced a new optional setting named 'Continuous Audio Connection'.

Settings contains the Continuous Audio Connection option, the Continuous Audio Connection setting can be enabled at Settings → Video and Audio → Audio Format → HDMI Output.
