GTA 6 fans targeted by scammers as pre-order hype starts

NordVPN says cybercriminals are exploiting GTA 6 hype with fake beta sites, piracy clones, a malicious Android app, and phishing pages.

The scams are impersonating Rockstar and Rockstar Social Club to steal login credentials, money, and device access.

Some campaigns lure fans with fake pre-orders, downloads, or “exclusive” access tied to PS5, Xbox Series, and Android.

The report warns that rising anticipation around GTA 6 is creating a large attack surface for phishing and malware.
