Nintendo removes the “50+ hours of playtime” requirement, easing Switch 2 purchase conditions on My Nintendo Store

Nintendo removed the 50-hour playtime requirement for buying Switch 2 from the My Nintendo Store.

The change makes it easier to qualify for purchase, lowering the barrier for would-be buyers.

At the same time, the Japan-only Japanese model price was raised from ¥49,980 to ¥59,980.

The updated conditions and pricing took effect on May 25.
