Nintendo Switch 1 is Having a Moment in April 2026

Nintendo continues to support the original Nintendo Switch alongside the Switch 2.

Nintendo plans to release most new games on Switch 2 but will keep supporting the OG Switch.

The original Switch remains Nintendo's best-selling console with a large install base.

The OG Switch debuted in 2017; Switch 2 launched last year.

April 2026 listed two releases for the OG Switch: Pokemon Champions and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.
