Mistral, Europe’s answer to OpenAI and Anthropic, pushes its coding agents to the cloud

Mistral launched Medium 3.5, a new foundation model with a 128B design and 256k context window.

The company also upgraded Vibe so coding agents can run in the cloud from the CLI or Le Chat.

Agents can now keep working remotely in sandboxed environments and handle longer tasks through a new Le Chat work mode.

The move puts Mistral in more direct competition with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Microsoft on developer-focused AI.
