‘Not Available For All’—Apple Changes iPhone Messaging This Week

Apple is expected to launch iOS 26.5 this week with beta end-to-end encrypted RCS in Messages.

The update strengthens iPhone-to-Android texting by adding more privacy to cross-platform chats.

Support will be limited to carriers that enable the feature, so not all users will get it right away.
