Microsoft and OpenAI End Exclusive Partnership

Microsoft and OpenAI have ended their exclusive partnership and revenue-sharing deal.

OpenAI can now license its models and products to other companies and cloud providers, including Microsoft rivals.

Microsoft will no longer share AI revenue with OpenAI, and OpenAI’s repayment to Microsoft is capped.

Microsoft still holds about a 27% stake in OpenAI after its move to a for-profit structure.
