OpenAI is making it easier to check if an image was made by their models

OpenAI says it will support the C2PA standard for image metadata and work with Google’s SynthID watermarks.

The company also previewed a public tool that checks OpenAI-generated images for both provenance signals.

The goal is to make AI-made images easier to identify and harder to pass off as authentic.

The move could strengthen verification as synthetic media becomes more common.
