Sony Xperia 1 VIII packs a redesign, flagship specs, microSD, and a 3.5mm jack starting at €1,500

Sony unveiled the Xperia 1 VIII, a redesigned flagship phone with a 6.5-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.

It offers up to 16GB RAM, 1TB storage, triple rear cameras, a 5,000 mAh battery, 30W wired charging, and 15W wireless charging.

Sony is keeping rare premium features like microSD expansion and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Pre-orders are live in the UK and Europe, starting at €1,499, with free WH-1000XM6 headphones included; no US launch is planned.
