Amazon bets Nobel Prize-based dehumidification can cut its energy use

Amazon has adopted Transaera’s desiccant-based outdoor air system for commercial HVAC use.

Transaera says its system removes moisture more efficiently than conventional units, cutting the energy needed for dehumidification.

Amazon tested the technology in Houston and has now signed on as a customer.

The efficiency gains could lower operating costs and help Amazon move toward its 2040 net-zero target.
