Desalination systems have redundancy, storage buffers, and interconnected plants that help absorb isolated damage.

Repeated or coordinated attacks on multiple sites, however, could quickly strain supply and disrupt daily life and hospitals.

Because Gulf states rely heavily on desalination for drinking water, sanitation, and basic state functions, attacks raise serious humanitarian and legal concerns.
