Trump FCC asks the public to comment on whether ABC's The View is a news show

The FCC has opened public comment on ABC’s claim that The View qualifies for the bona fide news-program exemption from equal-time rules.

The agency is also asking whether the underlying equal-time statute is constitutional.

Comments are due June 22 and July 6, and the docket has already drawn dozens of responses.
