Apple announces AI-powered accessibility features and eye-controlled wheelchair functionality

Apple announced AI-powered accessibility updates across VoiceOver, Magnifier, Voice Control, Accessibility Reader, and video subtitles.

The new features add richer image descriptions, natural-language control, and smarter reading support for people with vision, reading, hearing, and mobility needs.

Apple also introduced eye-based control for power wheelchair users on Vision Pro, expanding hands-free interaction options.

The company said the updates are designed with privacy in mind, using on-device or privacy-focused processing where possible.
