China Earthquake Administration said it is working with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to connect earthquake early-warning alerts to residential community broadcast systems.

The project is currently in the technical integration stage, with pilot sites to be selected next for business verification.

If implemented, the system could deliver earthquake and other emergency alerts to the public faster and more accurately.

It is expected to improve public warning coverage and emergency response efficiency.
