ASUS Cracks the JEDEC Mixing Problem on Intel Z890 & B860, Letting Users Pair Mismatched DDR5 Sticks As RAM Prices Spike

ASUS has released UEFI BIOS 3002 and 3103 for select Intel Z890 and B860 motherboards.

The updates add AEMP II and AEMP III support, letting users mix same-type JEDEC DDR5 modules and auto-optimize frequency, timings, and voltage.

ASUS also added DIMM Fit tools for XMP memory tuning, including DIMM Fit Pro on supported boards.

The change helps builders get better use out of cheaper or mixed DDR5 kits on Intel’s latest LGA 1851 platform.
