Apple iOS 26.5 Release Date: Critical New iPhone Feature Here In Days

Apple is preparing iOS 26.5, with a release candidate expected in early May and a full release likely around May 11–12.

The headline feature is end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging, which would make iPhone-to-Android chats more private.
